Cookies Policy
This Cookies Policy was last updated on 29 October 2026.
What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember actions and preferences over time. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels and local storage objects that can also store or access information on your device. These tools can record details such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and interactions with content. In the United Kingdom they are regulated by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations together with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Why Does dailyzo Use Cookies?
We use cookies to make our website function correctly, to understand how visitors use our audiovisual production resources and to improve the overall experience for users interested in broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting, sound engineering and live-event workflows. Without these technologies certain features would not work and we would be unable to maintain the quality of service expected on a commercial educational platform.
Categories of Cookies and Similar Technologies
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the site to operate. They enable basic functions such as page navigation, form submission on the contact page and security features. They do not require consent under PECR because they are strictly necessary.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies remember your preferences such as language settings or display choices. They improve usability but are not essential for core operation and therefore rely on consent.
Analytics and Performance Cookies
These cookies collect information about how visitors interact with course materials and resources. They help us understand which topics on audiovisual production are most useful so we can refine content. They are used only with your consent.
Advertising and Targeting Cookies
Although our primary focus is educational, we may use limited advertising cookies to measure the effectiveness of promotions for our courses. These cookies are deployed only after you have given consent.
Social Media Cookies
If social sharing buttons are present they may set cookies from third-party platforms. These are used solely when you choose to interact with them and require consent.
First-Party Versus Third-Party Cookies
First-party cookies are set directly by dailyzo and relate only to our domain. Third-party cookies are placed by external providers such as analytics services or content delivery networks. Both types appear in the table below and are subject to the same consent rules under UK law.
Session Versus Persistent Cookies
Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period, often between thirty days and two years, or until you manually delete them. Retention periods are listed in the provider table so you can understand exactly how long each cookie stays active.
Data Handled and Purpose of Each Category
Necessary cookies typically store session identifiers and security tokens. Functional cookies store preference values. Analytics cookies record aggregated usage statistics such as page views and time spent on course descriptions. Advertising cookies may track click-through rates from external campaigns. No category collects sensitive personal data without separate lawful basis.
Consent or Exemption Basis for Each Category
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent under PECR. All other categories require your affirmative consent before they are activated. Consent is obtained through the site-wide cookie banner and can be withdrawn at any time without affecting your ability to browse essential content.
Cookie Provider Table
The following table summarises the cookies currently in use. Information is kept up to date and any changes will be reflected here.

How the Consent Manager Works
When you first visit the site a banner appears offering granular choices for each non-essential category. You can accept all, reject all or customise your selections. Your choices are stored for twelve months and you may reopen the banner at any time via a link in the footer to review or alter them. Withdrawing consent immediately stops further collection by the relevant cookies.
Browser-Level Controls and Consequences of Disabling Cookies
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings menu. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent core functions such as the contact form from working. Disabling analytics cookies will simply stop us from receiving usage statistics but will not affect your ability to access course information.
International Transfers
Some third-party providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. In such cases appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses are used. Full details appear in our Privacy Policy which you should read alongside this document.
